DEWATERING

Coagulation is the reduction of the electrostatics charges of a particle, which allows these particles to then move together.
Flocculation pertains to the physical bridge that is formed between two or more particles, which agglomerate these particles into a porous three-dimensional structure referred as a “floc “.

DRY LOCATION CONCEPT

REDUCE : The surface of the location , the quantity of chemicals

RECOVER: The drilling fluids from the solids control equipment

RECYCLE: The liquids after primary and secondary treatments

CUTTINGS STABILIZATION

The quantity of dry solids stabilized per batch depends on the civil work design on location (waste pits, corral or tank ) The dry concept location requires only the half moon tank. The quantity of cement depends of the dryness of the solids . Geosta is mix in the range of 1kg / m3 to enforce the hardness and the compressive strength, and reduce the leachability .Samples are collected for leachate and compressive strength test .

CKS Environmental

…still your best source for quality, dependability and fast Environmental services

CKS provides an integrated unit for waste treatment. This unit consists in a 12 meters readily transportable container, which incorporate all the necessary equipment for a chemical treatment
The dewatering unit process normally involves the following steps:
  • PH adjustment –normally 6,5 to 7,5
  • Coagulant addition –normally Fecl3, Al2SO4, or Ca2 +salts
  • Flocculating polymer addition.(high molecular weight polymers anionic or cationic)
  • Centrifuge to separate solids
  • Water recovered from centrifuge can be used for cleaning or dilution, so no excess liquid waste is generated
  • The choice and optimum dose of coagulant and flocculating polymer are normally determined by pilot testing
